In Mathematics, the children learn in a variety of ways using the ‘Abacus’ scheme of learning as a starting point. The scheme is divided by year and learning is selected from this scheme specifically to build upon pupils’ individual skills and abilities. In order to make sure that the curriculum is matched to individual need and that any gaps in learning are addressed, children may build up from a younger year.
