School News

Dear parents and carers,

We are writing to you to confirm arrangements for your child’s return to school at the start of the summer term.

As you know, your child’s setting has worked incredibly hard and continues to do so to maintain the measures in place to ensure your child is kept safe and well. We are extremely proud of the way education colleagues have adapted and coped through the pandemic to date.

UPDATE - JUNE 14th

With the Prime Minister's annoucement on the 14th of June, it is clear that continued action is necessary. Not just in terms of education settings, but across the country to reduce the potential for a third wave and the additional pressures on hospitals and social care settings.

As a result and based on the latest public health advice, we can confirm that where possible, we will continue to practice the measures described in our most current risk assessment.

In addition to the above, we must also ask that you and your family continue to follow all current Government Covid guidance:

We appreciate the academic year of the 2020/21 has been difficult for many, and many of your children will have been looking forward to returning to a more 'normal' school experience. They may, like you, feel anxious or frustrated by the continued restriction. However, it is vital that we come together to support each other so that we can ensure schools can remain safe spaces for all.

Thank you for your continued support.

Matthew Surman
